R.I.P. Bill Buchanan

On tonight's episode of 24 we witnessed the heroic death of one of the all time greats on 24, Bill Buchanan. For those of you who don't watch 24 and who don't know who Bill Buchanan is, all you need to know is the man was an American hero and he gave his own life tonight in order to save the president's life. Another way to look at the impact Bill Buchanan has had on peoples lives is to understand that when Jack Bauer saw Bill lying dead with half of his face burnt off, he cried. Let's put that into perspective. A great philosopher once said that a man gets one good cry in his life, well Jack Bauer used that one cry on Bill Buchanan! 

Bill has been with us since season 4 and along with Jack Bauer, has been protecting America from terrorist scum ever since. Bill Buchanan was a loyal man and when everybody else in government was trying to arrest or kill Jack Bauer because of his torture tactics (even though he literally saved the world 6 times), Bill always had Jack's back and for the we commend and honor you Mr. Buchanan. Jack Bauer will make sure that your death was not in vain and in the words of the Late Maximus Decimus Meridius, "Strength and Honor." Well Bill, you exemplified both of those things everyday and we will forever be grateful.

Tonight is a sad night for Americans, and when you go to raise your flags tomorrow please raise them only half of the way in honor of our fallen hero.
